A Netflix original series which debuted in July 2013. The show is written by Jenji Kohan who also wrote the hit Showtime series, Weeds.

The show revolves around Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), a woman living in New York City who is sent to a minimum security prison after being caught with a suitcase full of drug money belonging to an ex-lover. Chapman must learn how to survive in her new setting, and to do so may mean becoming a different person.
